Keri Layton, N.D.

Dr. Layton was born and raised in RI.  She received an undergraduate degree in Neuroscience and Behavior from Mount Holyoke College in 1999.  After college, she worked in Boston as a research assistant on the Human Genome Project, then as a high school biology teacher.  Many of the kids she worked with were struggling with ADHD and learning disabilities.  It was this experience that solidified her desire to become a Naturopathic Doctor.

During her medical training, she continued to work in research, at Bastyr as well as at Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center in Seattle.  Dr. Layton graduated from Bastyr University in 2006 and completed a residency in integrated medicine in Atlanta, GA with a specialty in functional nutrition and chronic disease.  There she worked closely with physicians of different backgrounds to solve the complex health issues that accompany chronic conditions such as diabetes, chronic fatigue, Lyme's disease, cancer and many others.

It is a passion of Dr. Layton to see Naturopathic Doctors licensed in Rhode Island.  As the Secretary of the state organization, the Rhode Island Association of Naturopathic Physicians (RIANP), Dr. Layton is working to coordinate an effort to introduce a bill for licensure to the RI General Assembly.  This would allow Naturopaths to help fill the urgent need for qualified Primary Care Physicians in RI.

Dr. Layton believes that everyone can and should have vibrant health.  She uses evidence-based therapies and traditional wisdom to work with all health issues.  She enjoys working with people of all ages, from birth until end of life.

Dr. Layton now lives in her native RI with her husband and 2 children, partnering with members of her New England community to improve their health and wellness.
